Students from AIS Singapore (NSW registered) present a video about surface tension and how the temperature of the water affects the water cohesion. To show this we have set up three glasses of different temperature water and floated as many staples as possible on the water using it's surface tension. We concluded that because no staples floated on the hot water, the particles were using too much kinetic energy trying to change state that they disrupted the surface tension.
